Let There Be Light!

What can turn a regular, ordinary reception area into a fabulous, extraordinary area?? LIGHT!  There are so many ways to transform your reception ballroom or venue into a completely new feeling.  Depending on whether you use a decor expert or do-it-yourself, it can become expensive.  Look into different options that fits well into your budget.  Trust me, you won't regret spending a little on this.

Pin Spot Lighting: Focuses on shining a light directly onto an object, such as your centerpieces or wedding cake, giving it a highlighting effect.

Custom  Gobos (Monograms): This concept let's you create a specific monogram that you may have chosen to use throughout your wedding.  It can be names, initials, weddings dates or a picture that represents your theme and/or personality.  It can be focused on the wall or the dance floor.

Uplighting: This type of lighting completely transforms the look of the room.  About 10-20 lights (maybe more, depending on the size of the room), are placed along the walls to give the room a different look.  One or two colors may be used to complete this look.

Ceiling Lights: A very inexpensive way to add lighting to your ceremony or reception space.  Depending on your venue's ceiling, you can add all-white Christmas lights covered in light fabric.  This will work especially good for any brides looking to get married in the winter.

Centerpiece Lighting: Another inexpensive way to add lighting to your guests tables.  If you are using clear vases, adding submersible lights in different colors (to complement your wedding colors) will add another nice touch.  A 2nd option if pin spot lighting becomes too expensive (as it can be).
