Benefits of A Wedding Planner

A few engaged brides would think "Well, why would I need a wedding planner? How much planning can it be? Its only one day."  Of course, if you are a laid-back bride, this will be your mentality.  Then there are other brides who simply wants their wedding day to be "perfect" and not a single rhinestone out of place.  (I put perfect in quotation marks for a reason and I will explain later)

The benefits of having a wedding planner whether it is for full-service planning, partial planning or even weekend coordination, can help you a great deal.  If I were engaged and wasn't a wedding planner, I would definitely hire a wedding planner :-) (But we will cross that bridge when we get there).

1.) A wedding planner keeps you stress-free. Do you really want to worry about the details of what's in that photography contract or what centerpiece matches your vision or why the last 5 of your guests haven't RSVP'd yet? I didn't think so.  Your engagement period should be an enjoyable time, not a stressful one.  A beneficial wedding planner should save you the stress that the only thing you should be worried about is what dress your going to look good in and what time you have to walk down the aisle.

2.) A wedding planner saves you time. Maybe your fully into your career and have a million other things going on, that's where a wedding planner steps in and assists you.  You might not have the time to book appointments with multiple vendors, find the right linens or talk with a florist.  Depending on what wedding packages are being offered by a wedding planner, usually wedding planners book all appointments and attend all appointments.  If you are unable to attend an appointment, your wedding planner will fill in as your voice and finalization decisions (with your approval of course).

3.) A wedding planner can act as a tie breaker. You might be the lucky bride who has a fiance who wants to be overly involved in the planning process, but sometimes guys just don't know what they are talking about (sorry fellas).  A wedding planner can use her expert advice and give you sound reasoning as to why one thing will work over other.

4.) A wedding planner will save you money.  You booked the first photographer that you met with, but some beneficial things are missing from their services.  Now your stuck with a photography contract because the deposit is non-refundable.  Don't make this mistake!  Allow your wedding planner to speak on your behalf with the multiple vendors that they have worked with.  Wedding planners should vendors in every budget range.  This will save you time and keep you stress-free.  See how all of this goes hand in hand??

5.) A wedding planner lets you ENJOY your wedding day! You have been waiting for this day for a whole year (average engagement time) and its finally here.  But before you can get your hair and make-up done, you have to set-up the venue.  Oh wait, the cake isn't here yet.  Wait wait, guests are calling you to ask how to get there (although you printed directions with the invitations).  Why should you have to worry about all of these things when you are already nervous?? With a wedding planner, you will never know if the cake was 30 minutes late, a guest got lost and called for directions, or the groom went missing (nope, he was just in bed with a hangover).  Your wedding day is made for you to relax, smile and prepare yourself to meet your future mister at the end of the aisle!

All brides should know that everything cannot be "perfect" as much as we all would like it to be.  Brides should know that there are things that wedding planners cannot control.  Wedding planners are here to keep you stress-free and make this day as close to "perfect" as possible.

*Until another Divine post*

Happy Valentine's Day! xoxo

Divine Wedding's & Events is wishing married couples, engaged couples, and long-term relationship couples a very Happy Valentine's Day!  Spend this special day with the one that holds your heart the most.  This day shouldn't be about gifts (although a nice baby blue box named "Tiffany's") wouldn't hurt!

Would you consider making this special day a wedding anniversary date?  It might be a few newly engaged couples this weekend :-)  Here are some of my favorite Valentine-themed wedding pictures.  Enjoy!
